The All Progressives Congress (APC) has elected a new set of national officers at its National Convention held at Eagle Square in Abuja.
All Progressives Congress confirmed the emergence of new national executives during its 4th Elective National Convention held on Friday night, following a consensus arrangement among party stakeholders.
Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda was returned as National Chairman, while Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru emerged as National Secretary. Their emergence was announced by the Convention Election Committee alongside other newly elected National Working Committee (NWC) members who will oversee the affairs of the party going forward.
The convention was attended by top political leaders, including President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, among other senior party figures.
Delegates and stakeholders from across the country were also present to participate in the process that produced the new leadership structure of the ruling party.
