APGA Crisis: Suspended Youth Leader, Nwoga writes forum, blasts Oye

The Suspended National Youth Leader, Chuks Nwoga has written APGA Interactive Forum, accusing erstwhile National Chairman, Victor Ike Oye of incompetence and backbiting Obiano.

MY ENCOUNTER WITH OYE AND HIS PLOTS TO FRUSTRATE H. E GOV. OBIANO’S RE-ELECTION

My visit to Amawbia:

I was at Amawbia in March this year on Oye’s invitation when the breeze of this present crisis started blowing. He apologised to me just like he did to other NWC members who were not happy with the dwindling fortunes of our party. He then promised that he is going to be a better chairman and that he will not run the Party again all by himself as he has always done. 

Article 12(3)(a) states that the NWC shall be responsible for the day to day administration of the party which Oye has not abided to but rather chose to run the Party as a private enterprise without his colleagues. I forgave him just like every NWC members did. 

Then I relayed to him the message from the department which I head in the Party because he has turned down and disappointed them severally in their quest to receive blessings from their leader as they plan mass mobilisation of youths across the country. 

The conversation goes thus:

Me: “sir, the youths of our party said you are not a youth-friendly chairman since you have turned down their several attempts to meet you “.

Oye: “Why would they say I’m not youth-friendly when I have 5 youths in my house as my children? The 1st was born 1985 an engineer. The 2nd 1987. The 3rd 1989 a lawyer, the 4th 1991 a journalist and the 5th 1993 an engineer too. They are all Youths. It is Gov Obiano that is not youth-friendly”.

Me: “Can’t you see that the average age of the members of his cabinet is 60?”

At this point, I became quiet because I’ve never seen any member of Gov Obiano’s cabinet. He went further to tell me that Gov Obiano is not funding APGA and that it was due to the agreement he had with a certain party chieftain whom I won’t mention his name here that he(Obiano) pays monthly in millions for giving him the party’s ticket. 

According to Oye, the agreement subsists till date to the detriment of APGA as a political party and that was why Gov Obiano turned his back on APGA. He went further to tell me that he is waiting for Gov Obiano when he will come for re-election to pay for all the time he abandoned the party. 

When I heard all these, I became shocked and made several effort to meet with the governor but failed. I then asked him about plans, programs and strategy the party will adopt to win future elections and there is need to start early. 

He then told me that I should go and check for it in the Party’s manifesto. At this point, it became clear to me that Oye has nothing to put on the table to build the party. 

As the national chairman of a political party as big as APGA, Oye have never been to more than 5 states after 17 months he held sway before his suspension.

OYE’S PLOT TO FRUSTRATE GOV OBIANO’S RE-ELECTION BID

Most of us have not really dug to find out why OYE was sacked as the script writer of the former Governor of Abia State. It is in his nature to betray his benefactor when money is shown to him but he will meet a stiff resistance in the case of Gov Obiano.

Before this present crisis, he has been spotted severally having nocturnal meetings with sworn enemies of H. E Gov Obiano and APGA which is on tactically frustrating Gov Obiano through administrative mistakes. The last time he was confronted, he said he is planning to woo them to APGA. 

He (Oye) cannot claim to be wooing people to the party alone when he has a team he is supposed to be working with. It should again be made public to the members of his ex-cos not to go to people who wants the party to die and collect money from them and claim you are begging them to join APGA.

Oye and his paymasters have perfected plans to present a poor guideline /process of nomination that will lead to litigations that will eventually stop Gov Obiano from returning as governor. 

They have also planned to disappear with his nomination form through the help of a secretariat staff. Any APGAn who loves Gov Obiano should send this message to him and save this good man from Oye’s evil plot. Oye never liked Gov Obiano even all he has done for him.

ELECTIONS UNDER OYE

1st was Bayelsa guber were he gave the Party’s ticket to one Hon Christopher Enai who eventually traded the party’s ticket in connivance with Oye to the A. P. C. 

The party experienced another disastrous outing in Kogi state were the supposed 3rd party in Nigeria came a distant 15th position behind miniature parties like KOWA, AA, ADC, PDC, etc. 

Recently is the Edo and ONDO election. 

In Edo, the APGA got just 876 votes after wasting several millions of naira. This is a state APGA is supposed to have 7358 elected ex-cos. 

Also in ONDO were APGA got 786 vote and came 10th in the overall result have a total number of 7916 elected APGA ex-cos.

This includes 26 state officers, 22 LGA officers across the state, 21 ward officers in each of the wards in the state. In Edo, there are 18 LGAs, 195 wards, 4095 polling booths while in ONDO, there are 18 LGA, 203 wards, 3009 polling booths. 

Fellow Apgans, in Niger state, APGA won several councillorship positions through the doggedness /unrelenting effort of the state chairman , Alh Musa but the state government refused to swear them in over 9 months ago.
