‎PDP Crisis: Sheriff’s faction accuses Judges of Bias

‎More facts emerge why the Appeal Court adjourn its rulling on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) indefinitely.

It was reliably gathered Biyo Poroye filed a petition against ‎a panel of three judges led by Jumai Sankey said that its integrity was compromised.

Poroye, is a member of the PDP faction led by former Borno State governor, Ali Sheriff.

‎Ms. Sankey expalined that a petition was forwarded to the President of the Court of Appeal, Zainab Bulkachuwa and also Nigeria Judicial Council (NJC).

She said the petitioner alleged that the court, under her leadership, was prone to being compromised for financial gains.

Due to the petition by sheriff’s faction of PDP, ‎ the three judges on the panel decided to withdraw from the case.

UPDATE: 

Hope of Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko to seek redress for his anointed candidate Eyitayo Jegede to reclaim Peoples Democratic (PDP) ticket in the State from Jimoh Ibrahim dashed as the Court of Appeal postpone the ruling indefinitely.  ‎

The ruling of the Court of Appeal on PDP crisis which was expected to be delivered on Tuesday afternoon was suspended due petition against Judges till further notice‎

The Judges were accused of bias based on the petition submitted. 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Jimoh Ibrahim as PDP candidate for the election.

The governorship election in Ondo State is expected to hold on November 26.‎

Court officials informed newsmen that the ruling was suspended following a petition against the judges accusing them of bias.‎

Two factions of the party led by Senator, Ahmed Makarfi, and Senator Ali Sheriff, have for months battled in court over the leadership of the PDP.‎
