This morning at the Conference Room of the Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee was established pursuant to Section 469 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.

It was inaugurated by the President of the Court of Appeal.
Membership of the Committee include thus: The Honourable Chief Judge of FCT High Court , Honourable Justice I.U. Bello; Honourable Justice Abdu-Karafati; Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice , Abubukar Malami (SAN); Joy Bob Manuel, Director General , Legal Aid Council of Nigeria; Professor Bem Angwe, Executive Secretary , National Human Rights Commission; Representatives of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Branch; Inspector General of Police and the Civil Society .

Okoi Obono-Obla, Special Adviser to the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation on Prosecutions is the Secretary of the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee.
The committee is entrusted with the Administration of Criminal Justice in the country.
