Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency: Ifeanyi Uchendu’s performance best in the history of Ohafia, to get 98% votes

A refined lawmaker with a reputation for executing projects, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu — the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, has emerged as a powerful force ahead of the House of Representatives election for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency next February, energising voters with messages of effective representation.

Prior to his election in 2015, many of his constituents in Ohafia South State Constituency never believed that a state lawmaker can execute quality projects, but he has proven everyone wrong including his doubters by executing numerous projects including life changing ones, thereby bagging the name, “Mr. Project”.

The way he has attracted supporters seems to border on populism – a tag he and his supporters would denounce, but some of his rhetoric might be encouraging that.

A chieftan of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ohafia, Mr. Ndukwe Agwu told our correspondent that the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu has performed excellently well as the lawmaker representing Ohafia South State Constituency.

According to him, Uchendu’s performance has placed him ahead of other candidates vying for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency seat of the House of Representatives in 2023.

He noted that the people of Ohafia Local Government Area would reward Uchendu for his sterling performance by giving him 98% of their votes.

He pointed out that since the return of democracy in 1999, Uchendu has proven to be the best lawmaker from the Constituency judging by the numerous projects executed by him.

“We need someone with a sound track record like Uchendu to represent us at Abuja. His projects are too numerous to mention and I’m confident that the people would give him massive support to emerge as the reps member to continue his good works. He has done excellently well and our people won’t be ungrateful to him. We shall reward him excellently with our votes,” he said.

A woman leader from Ohafia, Mary Kalu told our correspondent that Ohafia people would reciprocate Uchendu’s performance by supporting his ambition to represent them at the Green Chamber.

She said, “Uchendu introduced and sponsored the Ohafia Unity Cup Competition for years, and also reintroduced the yearly Ohafia New Yam Festival and sponsored same for years. It is about his love for Ohafia and we shall return the love in 2023 by supporting him with our votes. It is going to be a big win for him in Ohafia, and we expect it to be around 98% votes,” she said.
