Arsenal crush Sunderland 4-1; as Jose Mourinho sent off
Arsenal displayed a brilliant performance as they visited the Lads on Saturday.
Alexis Sanchez set the pace for goal scoring for the Arsene Wenger’s side as he utilised Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s assist in the 19th minute.
The Gunners maintained the lead till the end of the first half and some minutes after the second half before Jermain Defoe levelled the scores for David Moyes’ side.
Oliver Giroud subsequently set Arsenal on the lead once more and later added another within six minutes.
In a space of two minutes, Sanchez netted his second goal to secure the victory for the North Londoners.
Arsenal are now leading the league table with 23 points from 10 matches while Sunderland are last on the table with two points from 10 games.
In another Premier League match, Jose Mourinho was sent off at half-time during Manchester United’s Premier League game against Burnley after referee Mark Clattenburg denied United penalty.
The United manager watched the second half from the stands at Old Trafford after referee Mark Clattenburg ordered him from his technical area.
Mourinho was infuriated just before the end of a goalless first half when Clattenburg denied United a penalty for what appeared a foul on right-back Matteo Darmian.
The match, meanwhile, is 0-0 as at press time.
