The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has decried the protracted detention of his son in law and lawyer for weeks by security operatives.
Alhaji Abubakar took to his Twitter handle to express his frustration.
He said that they are paying the price simply for supporting hi9m in his presidential ambition.
Atiku urged “those now persecuting them to remember that a government’s mandate is to pursue peace and justice for all, and not just those who support them.”

ElombahNews had on March 2, 2019, reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] invaded and arrested Alhaji Babalele Abdullahi, son in-law of former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, in Abuja on Saturday, 2 March, 2019.
Babalele is also the finance director of Atiku’s group of companies.
Paul Ibe, Media Adviser to Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of PDP and Vice President of Nigeria, 1999-2007, told ElombahNews that the invasion stemmed from “a desperate move to have Atiku Abubakar concede and congratulate Gen. Muhammadu Buhari”
