Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has added another international milestone to her growing list of achievements after her breakout single “Bloody Samaritan” received Silver certification in the United Kingdom.
The certification was issued by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), recognizing strong sales and streaming performance of the 2021 hit, which featured on her debut project 19 & Dangerous under Mavin Records.
The accomplishment reinforces the global commercial success of Ayra Starr’s early catalogue and reflects the continued export strength of Nigerian pop music across major international markets.
With this latest certification, she joins a distinguished group of Nigerian music exports whose works have achieved Silver status in the UK, including artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Tems, Rema, Asake, Omah Lay, and CKay.
The recognition further underscores the accelerating global reach of Afrobeats and its increasing presence in mainstream international music markets, particularly in the United Kingdom.
