Bamidele Tope Saint CDies After Brief Hospitalization

The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of Nollywood comic actor Bamidele Tope Saint, widely known as Okemesi.

According to reports, the actor passed away on Tuesday at about 11:50 a.m. after spending several hours in a coma at the hospital. Sources close to the situation disclosed that he reportedly developed complications linked to medication administered before his condition worsened. Despite medical efforts to stabilize him, he was later pronounced dead by doctors.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed in an emotional Instagram video by fellow actor Tony Montana Jeff, who stated that the family had moved his body to the morgue and would announce funeral arrangements in due time.

“With a heavy heart, I’m announcing to the world that Okemesi is dead. The doctor pronounced him dead at exactly 11:50 a.m. this morning… Okemesi is gone,” he said. He also thanked supporters who showed concern during the actor’s final moments and offered prayers for his soul.

Okemesi was known for his unique comic delivery, expressive acting style, and ability to light up the screen with humor. Over the years, he built a reputation in Yoruba-language Nollywood productions, earning admiration from fans who appreciated his natural talent and vibrant personality.
