Terror bandits have launched a retaliatory attack in Bilbis, situated in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara, following the deaths of two of their fighters at the hands of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).

NewsBand gathered that the attack occurred after the criminal elements lost two men during a market raid in the community.

Mr. Zagazola Makama, Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, reported on Saturday that the armed criminals returned to Bilbis, firing sporadically to instill fear and chaos among the residents.

Makama reported that the CJTF operatives had successfully eliminated the two bandits on January 11, 2025, during the weekly market day.

They also seized two Honda motorcycles used by the criminals.

While quoting intelligence sources, Makama reported that the CJTF intercepted the bandits, leading to a deadly face-off that culminated in the death of the two terrorists. After the operation, the operatives returned to their base.

Following the CJTF’s departure, a fresh group of bandits launched a retaliatory attack on the town.

The situation escalated, prompting the deployment of military officers to Bilbis to restore order and protect the residents’ lives and properties.
