The Kebbi State Police Command has since confirmed the attack, stating that tactical units engaged the assailants in a gunfight but were unable to prevent the abduction.

Additional security forces, including military personnel and local vigilantes, have been deployed to track the bandits and rescue the students.

The Commissioner of Police has urged residents to remain calm and vigilant, reassuring them that efforts to secure the students’ safe return are underway.
