Banks’ Role In Corruption: Osinbajo Has Vindicated Me —George Uboh

Foremost whistleblower and Chairman of Panic Alert Security System [PASS], Dr George Uboh has stated that at last Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has vindicated his stance on how banks aid and abet massive corruption in Nigeria.

Dr Uboh said this in a memo sent to Elombah.com on Monday wherein he said that at last, “the chicken has come home to roost again”.

He was alluding to Acting President Osinbajo’s speech at the ongoing conference on the flow of illicit funds and asset recovery.

During his speech, Acting President Osinbajo labelled banks as conspirators in looting.

He, therefore, called for sanctions of the culpable banks.

Speaking at the conference, Akere Muna of Cameroon brilliantly posited that merely freezing funds in bank accounts does not mean recovery until the funds are transferred into government coffers.

George Uboh said that this is the song he has been singing to any ear that cares to listen.

On previous occasions, the PASS chairman, had elaborated how the banks connived with the Economic and financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] to steal N1.993 Trillion.

Just this morning, he was live on Love FM’s programme “The Podium” and discussed how his several memos and open letters were ignored by former president Goodluck Jonathan and current President Muhammadu Buhari.

He called the banks the “banking sector mafia” in several letters to Buhari after he traced N324 Billion Naira in 27 days lodged in banks.

George Uboh has also severally accused the EFCC for stealing N1.993 Trillion Naira hidden in banks instead of transferring same to the FGN.

He then rhetorically asked: “Why is Nuhu Ribadu the architect of EFCC looting sitting at such conference?”

He concluded by saying that “Nigerian masses have been cheated, shortchanged and left impoverished by the banks, oligarchs and the fantastically corrupt few who deserve to rot in hell.”

It is also on record that several banks have been indicted in high profile loots, one of them being the $115 million [2.3 billion Naira] involving former petroleum Minister, Mrs Diezani Allison Madueke.

One of the latest is the $15 million case presently in court involving former First lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan where the court had to freeze, unfreeze, and refreeze the said loot.
