Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, has been tipped for victory ahead of the December 5 governorship election in the state.

Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, said this at the party’s secretariat on Tuesday in Abuja during the presentation of Certificate of Return to the governor.

According to him, Dickson had performed so well and will be re-elected by the people for greater development of the state.

Secondus was full of praises for the smooth conduct of the primaries which he described as a “classic example” in the history of PDP.

He said that by the outcome of the election, PDP had led the way as a disciplined party with internal democracy and rule of law.

“That marks us apart from the other party whose primaries brought disgrace to not just the state but the whole of the nation”, he said.

According to him, since Bayelsa State was a traditional PDP state, Dickson is set for victory.

He praised Dickson for his development strides of his administration till date, adding that his remarkable efforts had transformed the state within a short period of time.

Secondus said, “We are pleased with your remarkable efforts that had transformed Bayelsa State from being a one-road state to one in which there are many roads and bridges criss-crossing the state, including the first flyover.”

Dickson applauded the leadership of PDP for its maturity in ensuring the conduct of peaceful primaries with Governor Fayose as the Chairman of the party’s national electoral panel who did an excellent job.

According to him, the All Progressives Congress (APC) stands no chance in Bayelsa State.

He said the PDP is set to sweep the polls given the incredible strength of the party in the 105 wards with all its elected officials holding strategic positions as councillors, LG chairmen, 21 out of 23 elected State House of Assembly parliamentarians, five elected House of Representatives members, three Senators and with him as a performing governor at the helm of affairs.
