As the people of Bayelsa State countdown to the 5th of December Governorship poll, more groups are aligning themselves with the second term re-election bid of Governor Seriake Dickson [pictured above] to enable him continue with his sustainable development agenda.

The recent groups were the Isoko Development Union and the United Isoko/Urhobo Traders Association in Bayelsa, whose members have expressed preparedness to mobilize people in voting massively for the Peoples Democratic Party.

President of the Isoko Development Union, Mr. Idama Michael spoke during a solidarity visit to Governor Dickson over the weekend at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Yenagoa.

He said they were the largest registered non-indigene group in the state that shares a common cultural and historical relationship with the people of Bayelsa.

According to Mr. Michael, in the last three and half years, Governor Dickson has proved himself a worthy leader that can adequately take charge of the affairs of the state amidst daunting challenges.

He urged Governor Dickson to incorporate members of the group into the Restoration Campaign Organization to enable them canvass support to ensure his return to the Creek Haven, seat of the Bayelsa State Government.

Also in his remarks, leader of the United Isoko/Urhobo Traders Association, Mr. Gelor Moses, said they have enjoyed a harmonious relationship with the people of the state.

This is in view of the conducive and peaceful environment created by the Governor Dickson-led administration for businesses to flourish.

Mr. Moses, who pledged support on behalf of the association, assured that they would arm themselves with the permanent voter cards to ensure victory for Governor Dickson in the coming election.
