Bello Turji threatens Villagers as Military intensifies Operations

On January 19, 2025, notorious bandit leader Bello Turji reportedly issued a warning to residents of villages near Shinkafi.

He threatened to attack anyone heading to the Shinkafi market, creating a climate of fear among the locals.

Local sources informed Zagazola Makama that Turji declared anyone caught violating his directive would face severe consequences. This alarming statement heightens concerns about the threat posed by Turji and his gang’s activities in the area.

This development appears to be an attempt by the fugitive bandit leader to conceal his movements. As security operations intensify against his network, Turji seeks to manipulate public perception and assert control in his areas of influence.

Moreover, contrary to circulating reports, credible security sources and local residents have confirmed that Turji has not sustained any injuries. Despite the rumors, the bandit leader remains elusive, continuing his game of hide-and-seek with actively pursuing security agents.

According to sources, Turji was spotted yesterday in nearby villages, seemingly distressed.

His movements reflect a rising sense of unease as authorities tighten their grip on his hideouts and increase operations.

Authorities persist in their efforts to apprehend Turji and dismantle his network, which has caused insecurity in Zamfara State and neighboring regions.
