Biafra: British High Commissioner Visits Kanu In DSS Prison

The British High Commissioner has visited the detained Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu In DSS Confinement, Elombah.com can confirm.

The visit took place last Friday, Barrister Obetta, his lawyer told Elombah.com correspondent.

Mr Nnamdi Kanu holds a dual Nationality and his UK MP, Lady Hermon representing Camberwell and Peckham (UK Parliamentary constituency) has written to the British Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond MP, urging immediate investigation of the circumstances surrounding Kanu’s arrest, the condition of his continued detention and his possible release.

Nnamdi is being detained even as thousands of youth in south east and south Nigeria continued their protests demanding for his release from Nigeria gulag.

It has also emerged that since perfecting his bail condition on 21 October 2015, the authorities has so far flouted 4 court orders asking that he produced in court.

Kanu was arrested in Lagos as he flew in from the United Kingdom. A High Court in Nigeria has since granted him bail. Hos lawyer told Elombah.com Kalu has met the conditions, but the DSS has so far flouted the order of Court and refused to release him.

The ‪#‎FreeBiafraProtesters‬ have been organising peaceful rallies and matches in streets and State capitals in the South East and South South of Nigeria demanding Nnamdi Kanu’s release and Nigeria government to allow the Biafrans self rule.
