The President of the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, has been hailed as a national asset, foundational pillar of leadership and a generational gift to Nigeria in a birthday tribute by a top official of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Obong Barr. Imo Akpan.
In a personally-signed statement issued on Tuesday, Barr. Akpan, who is the Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State on the RMAFC, celebrated the Senate President’s life, tracing his trajectory from humble origins to national prominence.
He said Senator Akpabio, being a national asset, ascended to the exalted office of President of the 10th Senate not merely a reward for diligence and resilience, but as “the clearest evidence of God’s goodness and faithfulness.”
Barr. Akpan further stated that the celebrant’s life stands as “a living testimony of God’s amazing grace,” noting his rise “from the humblest of beginnings in Ukana Ikot Ntuen, through the undeniable finger of God,” to the “pinnacle of governance.”
The tribute detailed Akpabio’s legacy, highlighting “a trail of compassion, excellence, uncommon love for humanity, and an unrelenting zeal to succeed.”
The Commissioner emphasised the Senate President’s role as a patron, stating that the leader’s glory and compassion have trickled down to him and countless lives, attributing his accomplishments to Akpabio’s “benevolence, guidance, undisguised love, and unwavering belief.”
Akpan also described Senator Akpabio as “a certified raiser of destinies, a generational gift to Akwa Ibom State, to Nigeria, and indeed to humanity.”
“The Almighty God who has brought you this far will continue to bless you with robust health, boundless joy, profound wisdom, renewed strength, and many more glorious years of selfless service,” he prayed.
