Nigerian hip-hop star Blaqbonez has addressed growing concerns among fans about his sudden and noticeable weight loss, assuring them that he is not dying and that the situation is under control.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the rapper, known for his wit and bold personality, made the clarification after a fan bluntly commented on a recent post, saying, “You’re dying bro.”

Blaqbonez, whose real name is Emeka Akumefule, responded swiftly via his X (formerly Twitter) account, stating that his weight loss is a result of dietary challenges while living abroad, and not due to illness or personal crisis.

In his words, “My problem is I only like Nigerian food. So whenever I leave the country, I struggle to eat.”

The rapper revealed that he has been out of the country for nearly two months, focused on completing his upcoming album project.

According to him, the unavailability of his preferred local dishes has significantly affected his appetite and eating habits.

“I’ve barely been eating… but I want to give you guys the best album experience ever,” he added.

Despite the weight loss, Blaqbonez assured fans that he’s fine and healthy, stating that he intends to regain weight soon. “No excuses,” he concluded, reaffirming his commitment to delivering quality music.

Known for hit songs like “Go Home,” “Go Crazy,” and “Haba,” Blaqbonez has built a reputation not just for his lyrical creativity but also for his online humor and interaction with fans.

This is not the first time Blaqbonez has gone viral over a personal lifestyle revelation.

He previously trended for declaring his preference for polyamory and living outside traditional relationship norms.

Fans have continued to rally around the rapper, praising his honesty and resilience in dealing with the pressures of fame and creative expectations.

Meanwhile, in a separate but equally emotional revelation, Nollywood actress Bose Alao has opened up about the hardships she endured in her marriage, including domestic violence, years of separation, and emotional trauma.

Speaking on Talk To B with Biola Bayo, the actress described how she married too young, at just 22 or 23, without fully understanding what marriage entailed.

She narrated how she endured domestic violence and only realized its toxicity after years of excusing it as normal behavior.

The couple eventually separated in 2018 for about three to four years. During that time, Bose raised their four children on her own while trying to heal emotionally.

She also revealed the emotional toll of seeing another woman move into her street and allegedly dating her husband while she struggled to rebuild her life.

Despite the separation, her husband continued visiting the kids and eventually began sleeping over again, which led to chaos and confrontations with the other woman involved.

Bose’s story has since sparked conversations on social media about toxic marriages, survival, and the struggle many Nigerian women face behind closed doors.

Both Blaqbonez and Bose Alao’s revelations this week have drawn widespread attention, underscoring the personal pressures faced by public figuresdespite their seemingly glamorous lives.
