Boko Haram terrorists have abducted thirty women, killed five and injure several others in Kwapre village, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The attack took place Friday evening in the village.

Member representing Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency, Hon Yusuf Buba Yakubu disclosed this while addressing newsmen.

He narrated how the insurgents besieged Kwapre village in Garaha Ward of Hong LGA, killed and maimed unsuspecting community dwellers.

He noted: “This latest attack on the innocent and peace- loving people of Kwapre is another senseless and cruel act of cowardice on a community that is renowned for peace, industry and serenity.”

According to eyewitnesses, the heavily armed insurgents shot sporadically, forcing residents  to find refuge in nearby bushes.

They destroyed houses and properties and kidnapped the women they could lay their hands on.

The survivors of the attack fled the village as they were afraid of further attacks.

Those injured during the attack are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed health centre.
