Boko Haram enjoys monopoly of fishing business in Borno —Dickson

A local peace building expert, Dr Prince Charles Dickson has disclosed that the Boko Haram group enjoys monopoly of fish market in Borno state.

The peace expert stated this during an interview with Elombah Television, saying the money realized from the fishing business is meant to fund their activities.

Talking about funding of the organization, Dr Dickson said that the fishing Business in Borno state is being controlled by the Islamic group till today.

He said: “It is safe to say the entire fishing industry in Borno is under the control of Boko Haram.

“When you want to get fish that is sold in the market, it is controlled by Boko Haram.

“They use the means to fund their activities.”
