Boko Haram: FG begins reconstruction of schools, police stations in NE
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Engr. David Lawan confirmed that federal government has massively commenced reconstruction of schools and police stations destroyed by Boko Haram insurgent in the North East.
Lawan made this known during graduation ceremony of over 500 students trained by Buba Industrial Village under the Youth Empowerment Programme of Honorable Yusuf Buba.
Honorable Buba is a member representing Gombi /Hong Federal Constituency held in Hong LGA of Adamawa on Sunday.
He said that the development was part of the election campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari for bringing lasting solution of insurgency and rebuilding of destroyed infrastructures in the region.
“Federal Government has begun reconstruction of schools, police stations among others that have been destroyed by Boko Haram insurgence in the North East region.
“The present APC-led government is determined to guarantee peaceful co-existence among Nigerians and to ensure that Nigerians irrespective of their areas or belief have benefited the dividend of democracy,” Lawan said.
He however berated opposition parties for calumny during last election campaign where he said they linked All Progressive Congress party with particular religion and Boko Haram insurgence.
He said President Muhammadu Buhari and APC led government does not worry about what religion you are practicing.
“President Buhari believed on honesty and integrity and that before him, all Nigerians are equal.” Lawan said.
On the youth empowerment, he said that federal government has excellent programme for the employment of youths.
The SGF described the training of the youth in various skills acquisition by the member as “landmark achievement.”
