The fleeing terrorists were pursued by the rival faction towards the south of Kangarwa and Dogon Chuku in Baga LGA.

On Dec. 31, attacks between rival factions of ISWAP and JAS that lasted 14hours at Toumbum Allura and Kangar areas, had led to the killing of scores fighters.

The sustained attacks forced ISWAP fighters to hold a meeting at Tumbun Murhu with high profile ISWAP leaders comprising Abubakar Chad, Bashir Ukasha and Abul Kaka- Alias Sa’ad in attendance.

According to the sources, major issues discussed during the meeting was the inability of their organisation to carry out major attacks during the Yuletide season as earlier planned which was attributed to the clashes and attacks on its camps by the Boko Haram factions.
