Bombshell: Israel names strike on Iran ‘Rising Lion’ after bible prophecy

Israel has named its latest military operation against Iran “Rising Lion,” citing a Bible verse that foretells Israel’s dominance over its enemies.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was seen at Jerusalem’s Western Wall on Thursday placing a handwritten note inside the cracks of the sacred site. That note, now released by his office, read: “The people shall rise up as a lion.”

The phrase comes from the Book of Numbers 23:24: “Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.”

The verse is part of the oracle of Balaam, a non-Israelite prophet who compared Israel’s power to a lion determined to conquer its enemies.

The symbolism behind the name “Rising Lion” adds a spiritual layer to Israel’s aggressive military posture.

Diaspora Digital Media DDM reported that Israeli forces launched coordinated strikes on Iranian nuclear and military targets late Thursday, June 12, 2025,  igniting fears of regional war.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, responded angrily on Friday, calling the Israeli attack “satanic.”

Tehran has vowed retaliation, warning of a “firm and timely” response.

Images from Tehran showed emergency workers clearing rubble from damaged sites, with multiple casualties feared.

Iran’s military is reportedly mobilizing in preparation for a potential second wave of confrontation.

Israel has not confirmed if more operations are planned, but officials said “Rising Lion” would be “ongoing as long as threats remain.”

Military experts say the operation could be one of Israel’s most expansive air campaigns in recent years.

The Israeli strike came amid rising tension over Iran’s uranium enrichment, which has violated international agreements.

Diaspora Digital Media also reported that the International Atomic Energy Agency on Thursday, June 11, found Iran in breach of nuclear commitments for the first time in nearly two decades.

As the conflict escalates, global powers have urged restraint.

The U.S., while informed in advance, has stated it played no role in the attack and seeks to prevent further escalation.

“Rising Lion” signals a shift in Israel’s military narrative, blending ancient prophecy with modern firepower.

The full consequences remain uncertain, but tensions across the region have sharply intensified.
