Breaking: 4 dead as Fintiri escapes death in another convoy crash in Adamawa

Not up to one week after escaping death by whiskers, the convoy of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state, leaving four dead with many others sustaining varying degrees of injuries on Thursday December 1, 2022.

The incidence was said to have happened in Fadamarake, Hong local government area when the governor’s convoy and his campaign team were on their way to Mubi to flag-off his re-election campaign in the Northern zone of the state after holding similar event in the southern senatorial district.

Among the four persons who lost their lives are mostly vigilantee operatives including the head of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) vigilantee group and his son.

Their names were not immediately ascertained.

According to eyewitness, their lifeless bodies have been been evacuated and deposited at the hospital, while those who sustained injuries have been taken to hospital for treatment.

Blueprint gathered that the accident was as a result of over speeding when one of the hilux vans carrying the vigilantees tried to negotiate a dangerious bend, then crashed, leading to loss of lives.

Governor fintiri who participated in the rescue operation expressed sadness over the incident and prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives.

The governor had escaped death by the whispers few days ago when a truck lost control and rammed into his convoy. Two vehicles on his convoy, were crushed by the truck.

The incident occurred around the high brow, Dougirei Hilltop Agga Mosque, where the governor had gone to attend a wedding engagement.
