As part of its effort to bring closure to the case, a Lagos High Court, has sentenced Drambi Vandi, the officer involved in the killing of Mrs Bolanle Raheem, a lawyer, to death by hanging.
The suspended killer cop who is an Assistant Superintendent of police was found guilty of killing of Omobolanle, a property lawyer.
The court in a landmark ruling on Monday, sentenced him to death by hanging for the crime.
Justice Ibironke Harrison, sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square annexe division of the Lagos State High Court, ruled that his defence that he did not shoot the deceased has no leg to stand on.
The killer cop was found guilty on the strength of the witnesses of the prosecution, who gave ‘overwhelming evidence that the loud gunshot was from his loaded gun.
