Bandits have abducted a former President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Mr. Takai Shamang in his hometown of Biniki, Kaura local government area of Kaduna State.
78 year old Shamang led the National Union of Electricity and Gas Workers, now known as the National Union of Electricity Employees, from 1982 to 1989.
Shamang abduction was confirmed by his daughter, Mrs. Grace Abbin to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
She said that her father was kidnapped from his residence in Biniki by suspected bandits at around 8:00pm on Friday.
