An exchange of blows erupted at Yenagoa at the collation center of the Bayelsa State governorship election held on November 11, 2023.
Trouble started when an agent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) castigated the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reminding the audience the deputy governorship candidate threatened electorates with violence and death.
He was silenced with a blow from an APC agent which instantly snow-balled into further violence.
It took the intervention of security agents before calm was restored and the collation continued.
