With results officially released by the National Collation Centre Abuja in 36 states and FCT, President Muhammadu Buhari , candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, has won the 2019 presidential election.
The National Collation Centre for the 2019 Presidential Election, announced Buhari has secured a total of 15,191,847 votes.
He is leading his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, with 3,928,869 votes. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has polled 11, 262,978 votes.
Buhari has won the highest number of votes in 19 states: Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Yobe, Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Lagos, Kogi, Kwara, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
Alhaji Atiku has won in FCT Abuja, and 17 states: Taraba, Plateau, Oyo, Ondo, Imo, Enugu, Edo, Ebonyi, Benue, Anambra, Adamawa, Abia, Cross River Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa Ibom states.
The last result INEC declared is Rivers State where Atiku scored 473,971 votes to beat President Muhammadu Buhari who secured 150,710 votes.
