Imo Collation Officer Handcuffed Over Falsification Of Result [Update]

The Collation officer of Ohaji Egbema Local government area in Imo state, Ezirim kelechi has been arrested by Police over falsification of result.

He was handcuffed and led out of the collation center for falsification of results.

The man under arrest here is a professor.

He was arrested at the state collation centre Owerri after he announced the result of the LGA.

The Chief Returning Officer found out that the professor after declaring the result at the local govt collation centre at Ohaji/Egbema and gave out duly signed result sheets to party agents went behind to alter the results.

The result he came to Owerri collation centre to announce was different from what he announced at the local govt.

On finding out, the chief Collation Officer handed him and the INEC Electoral Officer for Ohaji/Egbema over to police immediately.

They are to be charged for electoral fraud.

Meanwhile, collation and announcement of results from the 27 local govt areas of Imo state are ongoing.
