A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has rejected the bail application lodged by an embattled official of Binance Holdings Limited, Mr Tigran Gambaryan, who is being tried for alleged money laundering offences.
The presiding judge, Justice Emeka Nwite in a ruling on Friday, held that the bail application is dismissed as he has painstakingly gone through the application submitted before him and resolved that the defendant will likely jump bail if granted.
Justice Nwite concord with prosecuting lawyer, Ekele Iheanacho that, with the earlier escape of Gambaryan’s co-defendant, Nadeem Anjarwalla, the Binance Regional Manager for Africa from lawful custody in Abuja, it would be unreasonable to grant bail to Gambaryan.
