A magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State has denied human rights activist and lawyer Mr. Dele Farotimi bail.
Farotimi was arraigned in court for allegedly defamation of the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola.
But in Tuesday’s ruling, the presiding magistrate, Abayomi Adeosun, adjourned the application of bail to December 20 after the counsel to the police, Samson Osobu, proved that the bail application submitted by the defendant was incompetent and irregular.
