Justice Adamu T. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has dismissed the suit seeking to disqualify the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mr. Siminalaye Fubara, from contesting the 2023 governorship elections.
Chief Morgan West, another aspirant, had challenged Fubara’s candidacy, alleging Fubara was not a member of the party and did not have a valid PDP membership card, among other issues.
The presiding judge, however, in his judgement on Friday, threw out the suit filed by the plaintiff for incompetence and lack of jurisdiction. Read more.
