BREAKING: Court sentences man to death for killing NYSC member

A High Court sitting in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, has sentenced Mr. Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for the brutal killing of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Salome Adaidu.

While delivering verdict, the presiding judge, Justice Simon Aboki declared Ajayi guilty of culpable homicide after a thorough trial that revealed disturbing details of the crime.

The court found that Ajayi brutally killed and butchered the young corps member.

Ajayi was convicted under Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria, which prescribes the death penalty for culpable homicide.

The case, which drew public attention due to its gory nature, was carefully investigated, with compelling evidence leading to the conviction.

Justice Aboki stressed the gravity of the crime and its impact on society, stating that justice must be served to deter similar acts.
