The NUC’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu, presented the certificate of recognition to Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, represented by Deputy Governor Patricia Obila.

He said the new university brings the total number of universities in the country to 300, out of which 69 are owned by states.

With this development, Ebonyi State now hosts six universities: two federal, three state-owned, and one private institution.
