BREAKING: Fire Destroys Card Readers In Anambra INEC Office

A strange fire has gutted the office of the Independent national Electoral COmmission in Anambra  State, destroying cards readers, as well as other electoral materials.

The latest incident brings to three the number of INEC offices razed by fire barely days before the forthcoming general elections.

INEC office in Abia State was the first hit, followed by its office in Jos, the Plateau State capital, and now Anambra.

An insider in Anambra who spoke to ElombahNews a while ago wondered why strange fires are suddenly destroying INEC properties in areas considered fortresses of the opposition People Democratic Party [PDP].

JUST IN: Container laden with card readers on fire at INEC office in Anambra

A container bearing card readers meant for February 16 poll is currently on fire at the head office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Awka, Anambra state.

The incident sparked confusion as INEC officials preparing for the election scuttled to safety.

The cause of the fire outbreak had not been ascertain as of the time of filing this report.
