The governor of Rivers State Siminalayi Fubara has approved a new minimum wage of N85,000 for civil servants in the state.
This was announced by Mr George Nwaeke, the state’s Head of Service.
He said the governor granted the approval during a private meeting with leaders of organized labour and senior government officials.
Also, Nwaeke confirmed that the implementation of the new wage would take immediate effect.
