The Governor of Edo State Mr Godwin Obaseki has lost Oredo Local Government Area to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s Edo governorship election.
The results were announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.
Senator Monday Okpebholo, candidate of the APC received 30,780 votes, defeating Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 24,938 votes.
While Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party trailed with 5,389 votes.
