IGP Recalls Imo CP, Ors 2 Days After Redeployment [Update]

UPDATE:

The IGP sent a signal on Friday advising all the transferred Police officers to return to their former offices with immediate effect.

Also recalled are three Deputy Commissioners of Police and 11 Assistant Commissioners of Police redeployed to various states of the federation by the Police chief.

The IGP had, two days ago, redeployed Galadanchi to Bauchi State and posted the current Commissioner of Police in charge of the Kogi State command, Ali Janga, to the state.

Barely 48 hours later, however, the IGP reversed himself and cancelled all the transfers.

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris has recalled the Imo State Commissioner of Police as well as 14 other officers barely two days after he redeployed them.

ElombahNews reported earlier that IGP Idris was locked in a closed-door with President Muhammadu Buhari Friday afternoon.

It is not yet clear if the recall is a fall-out of the meeting with President Buhari.
