The National Assembly has turned into hub of mass jubilation as the Supreme Court declared Ahmed Makarfi the authentic leader of the Peoples Democratic party [PDP].
Meanwhile, speaking shortly after the judgement, a visibly highly-elated Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu said that this is a “no victory no vanquished” affair.
He said that the victory is for no body but for the people and democracy.
He said: “There is enough room for everyone who has left the party; we are calling them to return back and let us build a formidable party.
“Nigeria’s problem are enormous and we need a lot of people to put things to work for Nigeria.
Jerry Gana also spoke on the victory.
The Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, while speaking said:
“I want to congratulate you all for this victory, we will pursue them we will conquer them, we will take our inheritance.
“Power is dormant at the moment, they are already overwhelmed by the power and we will take it back from them.
“We do all we can; we need to all go back home and make use of this victory.
“Let us stop suspending each other, we need to reconcile for peace to reign
“Let us support Makarfi-led caretaker committee.
“All others on the other side must come back so that we celebrate 2019 together.
Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode wrote on his Twitter handle:
“Praise the Lord! God has given us victory at Supreme Court. PDP is back in the right hands. Shame on Ali Modu Sheriff! Congrats to PDP!”
