The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] has granted the former Presidential Spokesman to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Reuben Abati bail.
Dr. Abati’s bail on Thursday came after being detained since Monday by the EFCC.
Abati, though, will leave his International Passport with the anti-graft agency.
He will also produce a surety of a civil servant not below Level 16 in the Civil Service as part of the conditions for his release from the anti-graft agency’s custody.
The former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed, however, was not as fortunate as EFCC got a warrant to continue his detention.
The former spokesperson to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was arrested Monday and has remained in detention since then.
Mr. Abati’s arrest makes it at least three former aides of Mr. Jonathan in EFCC custody.
