Breaking: NJC Postpones Emergency Meeting To Tuesday

The meeting of the National Judicial Council (NJC) has been rescheduled to hold Tuesday, January 29, in  Abuja.

The spokesman of NJC, Mr. Soji Oye, reportedly confirmed the rescheduled meeting.

The meeting was earlier scheduled to hold today, Monday at 10 am.

Top of the burner was to deliberate on the allegations against the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen as well as his suspension.

In the meantime, the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on Monday adjourned the trial Onnoghen, indefinitely.

The Tribunal adjourned the proceedings pending the determination of the application filed at the Court of Appeal by the CJN.
