The operatives of Department of State Services (DSS), have arrested the president of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), comrade Joe Ajaero at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
According to sources, the union leader was picked up early this morning while preparing to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.
He was slated to attend a conference of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) taking place in the United Kingdom today.
Meanwhile, the reasons for his arrest remain unclear but this medium gathered that Ajaero has been handed over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) for interrogation.
