The ever-busy Nnobi-Nkpor Road in Anambra State has finally been cut off by erosion.
The Road is finally cut off completely despite early warnings given to the Governor of the State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
A concerned citizen, Sir Obiora Okpala (Ifedioramma na Nnobi) had made a video that went viral on the early hours of Saturday 2nd September.
According to sources, the video got to the governor following which he visited the site on Wednesday, 6th September, and promised immediate mobilization of works to the site.

He, however, failed to do so one week later until the bridge caved in late Tuesday night following another downpour.
Yesterday, September 12, after a series of downpours over the days, the gully has finally cut off the Road.
In the meantime, Sir Okpala has expressed serious concern that about sixteen feet to that road is one of the junior student’s classroom’s block of Nnobi High School.

“Any further devastation of the gully across the land will cut the classroom block into two.
“I call on those close to the Governor to urge him to come and assist the good people of Nnobi,” Okpala said.
The road is a short cut to most commercial commuters heading to parts of Abia and Akwa Ibom states from the commercial city of Onitsha.
It is also the major gateway to semi urban city of Ekwulobia.
As a multipurpose commercial route, the road needs urgent intervention by the Governor Soludo-led Anambra State Government.
