BREAKING: Reps pass PIB Bill for third reading

Lawmakers of the House of Representatives have, on Thursday, passed the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) 2021 for third reading.

Report of the Bill was laid for consideration before the House during plenary on Wednesday by Chairman of the House Adhoc Committee on the PIB, Hon. Mohammed Tahir Mongunu.

Moved the bill for consideration on Thursday, Mongunu said:

“The House do consider the Report of the Ahoc Committee on Petroleum Industry Bill on an Act to Provide Legal, Governance, Regulatory and Fiscal Framework for the Nigerian Petroleum Industry, the Development of Host Communities; and for Related Matters, 2021 (HB. 1061) and approve the Recommendations therein.”
