Breaking: Security Operatives Gun Down IPOB Activists In Anambra
Three members of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB] were reportedly killed today, Wednesday, 16th August, 2017 in Ekwulobia, Anambra state.
They were shot by operatives of the Nigerian security according to pictures obtained by Elombah.com.
The correspondent said they were shot under the instruction of Governor Willie Obiano but this news media is yet to confirm the veracity of such claim.
Consequent upon the killings, the visit of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu which was scheduled to hold today in Ekwulobia which was postponed by the highest command of IPOB.
According to reports, army personnels opened fire on IPOB members already on ground waiting for Kanu’s arrival.
Elombah.com gathered that the army opened fire shooting both tear gas and bullets.
As a result, many were wounded while three were hit and were rushed to the hospital.
An eyewitness said that the soldiers blocked the venue of the event with their Hilux and were speaking Hausa language.
IPOB members vowed to assemble from all walks of life will on Sunday the 20th of august 2017 in Ekwulobia with their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu leading the way.
IPOB urged all members in all parts of Southeast to be live on ground at Ekwulobia on the new date.
The pro-Biafra group recently announced that there will be no election in Anambra State until the federal government capitulates to their demand for a referendum.
