Breaking: Senate adopts e-voting for nomination confirmations

The Nigerian Senate has adopted the e-voting system to vote on the confirmation of nominations of judges during the plenary on Tuesday, October 18.

The Nigerian Senate has adopted the e-voting system to vote on the confirmation of nominations during the plenary on Tuesday, October 18.

Senators registered and voted 38 in favour of and 1 vote using the system against the confirmation of Hon. Justice Ejembi Eko JCA as a Supreme Court Judge.

The same system was applied in the confirmation of Hon. Justice Amina Augie JCA as Supreme Court Judge which produced same result as Justice Eko.

Will the Senate approve the same for mass votings at general elections for the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC]?
