Breaking: Senate Passes SEDC Bill For Second Reading

The South East Development Commission [SEDC] bill has passed first reading in the Senate.

The bill is titled as A bill for an Act to Establish the South East Development Commission in the Federal Republic of Nigeria to act as a catalyst to develop the commercial potential of the south East.

The SEDC Bill appeared on Senate order paper and was sponsored by Stella Oduah.

The has been forwarded to Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service expected to submit report in four weeks.

It was passed into second reading                        

Public hearing will be organised on the bill and various stakeholders will come to defend the bill                        

The Committee will now submit their report for consideration
