BREAKING: Thugs Set Imo INEC Office Ablaze During Presidential Results Collation

The office of the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] in Isiala Mbano, Imo State has been set ablaze by unknown arsonists in the early hours of Monday.

INEC Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the area, Mr. Emmanuella Okpara confirmed the incident to newsmen.

She said: “Our office at Isiala Mbano was razed down by unknown persons in the early hours of today.

“In fact, it happened while we were still collating the presidential results here.

“The commission is yet to visit the office to ascertain the level of damage.”

ElombahNews had earlier reported how Professor I. Ibeabuchi, the Returning Officer for Imo West Senatorial District and other Imo State INEC staff were held hostage in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

They were reportedly abducted by Governor Rochas Okorocha and his thugs, while security operatives looked the other way.
