In what appears to be a legal technical knockout for President Donald Trump, the Supreme Court has upheld birthright citizenship, striking down his executive order.
According to CNN, the Chief Justice John Roberts, calling citizenship “the right to have rights,” wrote for the court that “the Framers of the Fourteenth Amendment extended that promise to ‘every free-born person in this land.’ We keep that promise today.”
