BREAKING: WAEC Releases 2025 WASSCE Results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.
WAEC made the announcement on Monday, August 4, 2025, through its verified X account (formerly Twitter).
The council confirmed that all results are now available online, bringing relief and excitement to thousands of students.
Now, candidates who sat for the exam can access their results by visiting http://www.waecdirect.org. To log in successfully, students must provide their result-checking PIN and examination number.
Furthermore, WAEC urged candidates to avoid unofficial websites and result-checking agents.
Instead, the council recommended using only the official WAEC portal to prevent fraud and data compromise.
This year’s examination, according to WAEC, recorded strong participation across member countries.
Although WAEC has not published the full performance statistics yet, it plans to share detailed insights during an upcoming press briefing later this week.
Meanwhile, the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has reacted swiftly to the result release.
In a fresh statement, NAPPS urged the Federal Government to revisit its stance on WASSCE’s role in national education.
NAPPS argued that WASSCE remains a vital and credible certification exam across West Africa.
The group warned that reducing the exam’s relevance would harm the prospects of Nigerian students, especially those seeking international academic opportunities.
Additionally, NAPPS advised the Federal Ministry of Education to work closely with WAEC on reforms.
These reforms, according to the association, should focus on digital innovation and improved exam integrity.
At the same time, schools and parents must help students verify their results immediately.
Acting early ensures that students can meet admission and scholarship deadlines without unnecessary stress.
WAEC also reminded everyone that all result-related concerns must go through official channels.
By following proper procedures, candidates can resolve issues smoothly and avoid misinformation.
In conclusion, this result release marks an important academic milestone. Thousands of school leavers can now move forward with their university applications and future plans.
